Payment Policy
Tuition is to be paid by Automatic withdrawal (Auto-Pay) by the 1st of the month or a $25 late fee will be added. If you do not want your card to be drawn via Automatic withdrawal, then you must pay before the 1st of the month. If a payment is 30 days overdue then your child will be dropped from the class. If a payment is not received within a period of 4 months then the account must be handed over to a collection agency. Theory Dance, LLC does not prorate tuition for personal absences (i.e.vacation or illness)
Photo and Video Release
I hereby grant and authorize Theory Dance, LLC the right to take, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, distribute and make use of any and all pictures or video taken of my child to be used and/or for legally promotional materials including, but not limited to, newsletters, flyers, posters, brochures, advertisements, fundraising letters, websites, fundraising, journalists, social networking sites and other print and digital communications, without payment or any other consideration. We use photos and videos on our Instagram, Facebook, and Website. This language extends to all language media formats and, markets now known or hereafter devised. This authorization should continue indefinitely, unless otherwise revoked in writing. I understand and agree that materials shall become property of Theory Dance, LLC and will not be returned. I hereby hold harmless, and release Theory Dance, LLC from all liability, petitions, and causes of action, which I, my heirs, representative, executors, administrators, or any other persons may make while acting on my child's behalf or on behalf of my estate. I warrant my child's consent and am competent to contract in my own name, I have read this release before signing and I fully understand the contents, meaning and impact of this release.
Cancellation of Monthly Notice Policy
Notice of four weeks must be given in writing if a child wishes to cease attending lessons. Fees will still be due even if the student is unable to attend class until the completion of the notice period. Fees will not be refunded if a student decides to leave during the course. Should a student leave for medical purposes (a Doctor’s letter will be required in these circumstances) membership may be paused.
Attendance Policy
It is a fundamental necessity for the teacher/choreographer to have the time to work with the students; therefore all dancers are expected to meet a 80% minimum attendance. Parents are asked to contact us when their child is absent giving an indication of the reason. Choreography for Performances: When working towards group choreography for competitions or performances, should attendance drop bellow 80% we reserve the right to alter students’ positions and if deemed necessary, he/she will be removed from a section or the whole piece.
Behavior Policy
During sessions, students are expected to behave in a polite manner. They are expected to listen and we discourage unnecessary talking. If a student is causing disruption to others’ learning they may be asked to leave the lesson. Any unacceptable behavior from students and/or parents/guardians will not be tolerated. Unacceptable behavior by dancers and parents may result in exclusion from current and/or further activities. Parents or family members may be banned from premises, events and/or performances.
Anti-Bullying Policy
Theory Dance recognize that every child has the right to enjoy a life free from bullying; therefore we will always take seriously all allegations of bullying and are committed to deal with it effectively if it does happen. We will always endeavor to work with students and parents to prevent it from happening.
